Last month I went to my first photography workshop. I was so anxious and nervous about the whole thing! New people, group critique, being told all the things I was doing wrong, stepping out of my comfort zone… this list could keep going and going. Looking back at my anxiety I just chuckle at myself.
Those 3 days have changed the way I do business, how I shoot and how I view my creativity.
I came home with a new perspective on it all. I am actually pursuing personal projects that I never thought I would get around to. I made $100 on print sales! That doesn’t sound like a lot but that is $100 more then I have made in the last 2 years.
Film Is Not Dead (FIND) is so much more than just a photography workshop! Jonathan Canlas is an open book, any question you have he will answer it. All of the other attendees become good friends and a support system that I can see lasting a long time!
If you want to jumpstart your business or resuscitate it or even just want a better understanding of photography you need to go to this workshop. Period. Do it. Now.
Jonathan left me spinning with all of his knowledge; I am still processing through everything I learnt and will definitely be sharing more soon!
These are just a few of the images I took while at FIND. There’s a lot more from where this came from. :)
My husband and I went on a little trip a few months ago. My aunt and uncle have a beautiful home on an island just north of Seattle and it makes for the perfect getaway! We had both gotten new film cameras and spent the majority of our time snapping away at the endless gorgeousness.
Can you believe this sunset?!
